With the old speakers i had to have the treble setting maxed out and still couldnt get any acceptable 34highs34 out of them

A while after i changed my head unit and the speakers audio quality just got better i really recommend these as upgrade from stock but i would not put a amp on them

I bought them impulsively i recently acquired a 2002 ford explorer that had an entirely factory stereo system in it after replacing the factory head unit with a decent jvc double din stereo the factory speakers 25w rms 4 ohm started to distort badly at medium volume i actually thought something was wrong with the new head unit it was so bad

Make no mistake these are entry level speakers in fact im fairly certain they are the cheapest 6x8 speakers you can get from jvc i didnt expect much
