Price

) there are plenty of features for the money such as skip search, index serch, zero return, and three step zoom.

A good choice at a reasonable price.

This is a good product for your $$$.

Shipping

It came in as if it just got released off for sale to general public for first time ever.

Packaging/appearance

)the buttons on the box seem unorthodox in their layout.

Competitiveness

I also like panasonic, which makes very reliable electronics.

The cheapest units do not have this, so stay with the better name brands.

The only disadvantages to this product for me1 on the vcr you cant ff by time a panasonic feature ff a given number of minutes2 once you set the vcr program you must hit timer not just power off to get it to use the program

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Okay hitting timer will turn the power off but lets say you want to record something later in the week

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You will turn your deck on and off several times in that period

And by the way hitting timer doesnt just turn the deck off it switches to dvd mode

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

In practice you just end up turning off two things vcr via timer dvd via power most of the time
