And also i would like to mention that quality control worked with me to get a remote that works with this vcr .

I don't care if i can't control my tv with the remote.

Picture quality isn't the best, but, it is a refurbished unit and my tapes are 'old' like the vcr is.

Shipping

Personally, i do not believe that the door came off during shipping and handling bc of the way it was packaged.
