For the price it offers a great design well tough out function, space for all my precious gear.
As for the price of entry it will be up to you to decide.
I cannot say with certainty if this model is worth it's asking price.
Shipping
I was not sure what was going to arrive when i ordered this backpack, but it was a pleasant surprise.
Packaging/appearance
It is not meant to be packed to the gills and will technically "fit" way more than the durability of the bag was designed for.
I haven't had the chance to test out the tripod pocket on the side, since i use a much bigger tripod that what can be packed in this bag.

Im not sure i would describe it as hardshell as the material they use is much more like a really stiff rubber though i actually imagine thats better for shock absorption as opposed to a completely hardshell style plastic

The zippers dont instill much confidence in me that they can handle all the weight and abuse over time

They dont stick or feel completely cheap but they dont seen rugged either
