A little hard to flatten it out but eventually did. Works great though, so no complaints. If you have a cat who lounges a lot, it's worth a try.
Anyways - this thing is fine. My cat enjoys it on and off. More importantly my cat loves it.

It barely gets warm after being plugged in for 30 minutes. Heat is negligible with no pad.

My cats are bigger boys and prefer to sprawl on mats rather than beds so i got 2 of these
