Pros
Black color blends seamlessly with the surroundings. Easy to clean. Decent for the price. It's a convertible big plus, it's safe for rubber lined ponds. I wish they made these in a drain plug style.
If you have snow i think they tell you to put in the snow to see if it melts. This heater works really well and doesn't let the pond freeze over in the least. I have a 400 gallon pond that typically freezes over completely.
Cons
This product causes my gfci outlet everytime it’s plugged in. The first unit trips the electrical fuse every single time. I reset the outlet and it immediately tripped again.

This is the best pond heater i have found, and i have purchased many all that worked for one year and never worked for the next year.
The last time we had a great freeze last year i lost 8 large koi to the disaster.
Our unit went out after 30 days.
Price
Did shop around for this type of product and was shocked with the price and how well it worked.
My purchase was a good deal but it can be pricey if you don’t shop around.

It arrived on time but my pond had iced over.

Word of caution if you have koi that are mischief like mine keep watch cause my 7inch koi got stuck last winter and i had to get her loose cause she was really stuck
