It's like if i could have an efficient led lightbulb on, no worries on electricity cost here. My 10lb princess never leaves it. She's always goes and sits on the heater vents when the heat kicks on. Works great though, so no complaints.

She loves this bed and that is saying a lot because she is super picky. It isn't super cushioned but it doesn't seem to matter to her.

It's so soft and velvety, and just a very mild, gentle warmth to it. Softy is on it already. It is soft and sturdy, and so far works well.

This heating mat is maybe 5 degrees above ambient temperature after being plugged in for hours. Neither animal recognizes these as a warm place to lay.

That is untrue. Its either plugged or unplugged.

My cats have zero interest in it. The pad itself is tiny. The rest of the item is a couple of super cheap pads surrounded by very thin, but soft blanket material.
