Pros & Cons
Pros
Even with the * clip, this is a great buy because the knife is so high quality. I still like the big chunky gila better for the most part, but this one is thinner and a close second place. Belt clip is easily taken off to remove bulkiness.
The blade is very nice and long and the knife is pretty light. It is super sturdy and stays sharp. Blade gives a definite but quiet click when it locks in place. Nice to once again have a dependable and versatile blade handy for snipping hay bale twin... Read More
The 420 stainless steel is very easy to sharpen to a razor edge. This one is very pointy, it holds its sharpness very well. It keeps an edge, sharpens quickly, never bulky.
Ka-bar knives are all awesome. I appreciate the workmanship. According to the website, ka-bar provides a good warranty on its products that should cover the fix.
Cons
Only the komodo has nothing wrong with it. Lock and unlock mechanism are very bad. No safety lock tab, blade is very rough.
Highlights
Quality
This knife seems like it costs $40 for the quality and duribility.
Chinese made, however the quality is great and for the price you can't beat it.
Just what i figured i would get from ka-bar quality wise, don't let the china stamp detour you, it shaves right outta the box!

Price
I was surprised by the size and quality of the knife for what the cost was.
Great knife for the price, cool looking design, fast shipping.
The wrenchs weren't expensive, it just took a while to get 'em.
Packaging/appearance
The ka-bar knife is paper sharp right out of the box.
Solid well built reasonably sharp right out of the box that feels good in my hand.
The one i got has the g-10 scales and the tini coating.
Competitiveness
I would compare this to my crkt knives around 30 bucks.
I have another k-bar folder that performs as well.
For a blade this large it is pretty light weight coming in under 5oz (4.
