Pros & Cons
Pros
Simple lock back style is one of the easiest to manipulate with heavy gloves on. The fastener sizes are t-6 for thumb stud and t-10 for the pocket clip and pivot bolt. Only complaint is the knob on blade for pushing open blade needs to be redesigned.
Amazing pocket knife to add for ecd. Outside of the way the pocket clip is orientated, this is a fantastic knife. This peacenik hopes i never have to actually use either for the legal protection.
Great quality and size for a budget $20 edc folder. Aus8 steel is more than capable of handling any edc tasks. Nice light folder.
This is a great no-frills knife that gets the job done. It fills the same niche.
The knife is all right. Ended up loving it. Keep it on me all the time. Extremely happy with this knife. One of the best knives out there. To enter the contest, click here.
Cons
This thing is a chinese manufactured, low end, knockoff of a decent knife. Thin blade, cheap plastic handles.
Highlights
Quality
The steel has been very resistant to rust and corrosion even with extended use in water and while cleaning small game and fish.
This has become my edc knife on the farm, easy to carry, easy to use, rugged enough to meet my needs.
My original dozier has been through it all and sharpened so many times the blade is much smaller now and all the coating is long worn off.
This dozier and any spyderco byrd knife are very underrated.
Price
For the money you cant beat it.
Can’t beat the price on this knife.
That was until my $200 benchmade was stolen.
It's a cheap blade but for the price it gives you a ton i return.
Packaging/appearance
It came sharp out of the box but needs a little touching up to make it "scary" sharp.
Competitiveness
The pictures are for a comparison of sizes, bottom up: opinel 6, opinel 8, dozier, victorinox alox pioneer.
I also have the ontario rat 1, cold steel air lite, and dozier thumbhole model.
