Pros & Cons
Pros
Each compartment is plenty spacious. The main compartment can be joined to the bottom compartment by removing the panel separating the two compartments.
Adjustable bungee and fixed bungee straps accommodate longer items such as trekking poles, monopod, etc. The buckle whistle works great. The chest strap makes it even easier to wear.
The bag has a mesh lining, making it highly breathable, but also very sturdy and rugged. The quality in the product is beyond what i expected, right down to the zippers and stitching. Aesthetically it's pretty simple-looking but the overall stitching ... Read More
This is a fantastic value for what i would classify as a medium duty day pack. This pack is sturdier than the pictures make it look, the fabric is thick and it feels like something you would get at rei.

There are flex fabric pockets on each side for water bottles.
Price
Great value backpack for the entry level price.
I feel this is a great bargain.
The only minor issue i have is with the price, which i think is a bit steep at $70.
This is as good at a 1/3 of the price with no compromises.
Packaging/appearance
The pack importantly has a hip belt that when cinched helps distribute the pack weight from your shoulders to your legs.
As an avid hiker here in the beautiful pnw, i have had my share of pack experiences.
It’s a tight squeeze when the pack is empty and a wrestle when it’s filled with foul weather gear.
And , it does weigh a little more than some of the packable backpacks, but not overly heavy and i would expect it with the sturdiness.
Competitiveness
Design wise it's similar to some of the other daypacks from name brand outfitters.
I'd compare it to an rei co-op branded bag in the same general price category.
