Pros
The kailas locking carabiner set comes in a blue anodized aluminum. It locks and i can trust it not to drop keys i put on it. The keyhole design is great for preventing rope snag.

I use carabiners as key rings and got tired of “losing” some keys with the non-locking kind.
The product feels and looks of really high quality.
Price
The screw top can be a little inconvenient sometimes but that's the price of security!
Competitiveness
I'm not trusting $3k in lenses to a cheap biner.
But their marketing claims make me second guess them.

I would use them for securing gear but without professional certification i wouldnt trust them as a single point of failure with nothing else between you and the void

The shape of the kailas carabiner is a little modified in profile to where its hard to imagine a rope hanging up on the nose though i guess anything is possible

They should be equitable in terms of performance but it in part comes down to the ce certification
