Price
Works great for my old aluratec reader which doesn't have a back light and the price is reasonable.
Packaging/appearance
------was good until the lights oddly burnt out.
Competitiveness
Maybe the newer version (kandle ii) is better with its two intensity.

I was glad to see it arrive with its own case as my previous light along with having a rechargeable cord that wiggled around and got looser and looser didnt have a safe storage place

I use a 6 inch kindle to read and this lamps light has trouble reaching the bottom of the device
