Don has a real knack for world building and has created a terrifying and engrossing story world.
It is a world that feels dark, oppressive and lacklustre.
This book broke into that though, and gave me the detail and world building i so desperately needed to be able to connect with a story.

The story gives off ready player onematrixmaze runner vibes which i really enjoyed and there was not a single point in the book where i thought i’d put it down and never pick it up

For a debut novel this is insane and i’m kind of hoping that this isn’t the last we’ll visit karakorum as there’s so much left to say
