Pros

Low-light capability also is impressive, with these cameras being able to maintain a full-color image in dim light rather than prematurely switching into black&white night vision. I like this cam but it is no sharper than my older kc1000.

Kasa smart (by tp-link) is a trusted brand that offers a solid smart-home ecosystem which includes cameras, light switches, lightbulbs, and plugs. This is also the application i use for tplink smart switches.

Kasa's app is straightforward and had no trouble connecting the cameras to wifi. They’re easy to setup (particularly if you use other kasa devices and already have an account/app setup) and well made.

Cameras offer both cloud (subscription required) and microsd card (free) recording options. The file sizes range from about 4. Mb/min in daytime (full color) resulting in about 4-5 days of video history on my 32gb microsd.

Cons

Cameras are very slow and customer service is horrible. Takes about 30 minutes for the recording to sync. No improvement in image quality or ir capability with these over the older ones.

So far so good for me and it works so much better from my previous 1080p camera, also i'm happy with the quality of the product.

Audio is acceptable but the picture quality is where they shine.

It’s definitely a feature of the product.

Price

The cost is so much better than ring.

That all said, i love the kasa brand, their ease of use and affordable prices!

I was thrilled to see these sec cams specially because they are kasa brand.

They are fixed so keep that in mind, they do not move or do any type of ptz (except cloud type features and ai tracking online).

Unfortunately this camera seems to have no better resolution than the older kc100 model.
