I can now turn it on and off at the wall as always or i can use my phone using the tapo app or i can tell alexa to turn it off and on

When you turn the fan on if it is set at a low speed then the fan will struggle to begin turning sometimes even not getting started at all

Maybe a firmware update could fix this by starting the fan at its highest level for 1 or 2 seconds to get it moving then drop back to whatever the default or user desired level is

Most dumb switches handle this problem by making you go through the fan settings like this offhighmedlow giving the fan a boost on the way to the lower settings

As explained in the documentation this device needs 2 loads 1 fan 1 light so my challenge was the electrical installation preparedness not the device itself
