The kasa app and wifi connection is great! These are easy to setup and we have never had a wifi issue with them. Easy to install, works great. Once you add one unit to alexa, additional units automatically add themselves to alexa.

Each outlet is recognized as a separate smart plug. You can switch either outlet on with the * on the unit or by its wifi-ness. I have several kasa (tp-link) smart plugs, and all of them work well.

They are insufferably finnicky and as in this case, often just prove impossible to get to work. Not impressed. Chucked this product in the trashcan and found a more secure product.
