Pros & Cons
Pros
The power cord is a good 12-18 inches shorter than it should be. The usb plugs are always on which are perfect for my temperature/humidity sensor. And lastly, you get six outlets that are individually controlled.
Kasa hs300 is very well built and works very well for basic programming. Integration with its own app and alexa is perfect. The app is much nicer (and easier to use) compared to smart life or magic home, and even the alexa app.
Cons
Refuses to respond to the app. This is a big no-no when you have computer and storage servers connected to it. Folks purchase iot devices with the expectation that they can remotely control connected devices.
Device disconnects from from nest wifi every single week. Device is 10 inches away from the router. This is a well known issue and tp-link is clueless.
It has a glitch which makes if offline more than it is online. Not even the soft reset works. It randomly shuts off and restarts itself. Humidifier have to be turned on for 10 minutes every hour.

This one wins because of the high number of outlets and an energy monitoring capability that none of the other plugs or outlets... Read More
But compared to the “gold standard” single-outlet monitor that costs $20, this is a great deal.
It's the same story with all these brands and all these products.
I've found it so difficult in past cases, that i now try to avoid the brand!

The agent wanted to help and he did

But ill only call their support as a last resort as the agents all seem to have very heavy accents and that coupled with poor english vocabulary makes getting support difficult
