If you start trying several different companies' products, you end of with several different companies' apps on your phone.

I've tried at least a half dozen brands of these type devices, including in-wall switches.

They were cheaper and smaller so i could easily use both outlets in the plug unlike the bulky belkin plugs.

I've used other products with buggy apps, but this is easy to use and doesn't have the bugs that the other apps have.
