I have also tried ribbons looped around the bottom of the battery, but the ribbons i used were bad and sucked and broke after a few uses.
This battery works and lasts much longer than the normal sony batteries (at least the 20 year old ones that i own), but be warned!
I, personally, just put a piece of tape on one side, sticking up over the top of the battery and folded over.

A great product at a reasonable price.
Worked great do not use it all the time but for the price it awesome

The battery is slightly larger than a normal sony battery

Not larger enough that it wont fit but larger enough that it may get stuck unless you add a pull tab to remove it
