Pros

The kastking casts well, has a quick retrieve and a good drag adjustment. The gear ratio makes casting and retrieving smooth as silk. Smooth action, quick reel in, and cast very well.

Kastking's specie-specie is a great product. It surpasses the others. The only problems are that i fish in saltwater, and there's already a bit of rust in the internals after a few months.

I own top of the line shakespeare, zebco, pfluger, and abu garcia spin casting reels. It's a little heavier than i'm used to in a spincast reel.

It is smooth when reeling in line. The pick up pins are smooth. The line has a nice supple feel. Very smooth reel.

Cons

After only a few months of use the rotor already has a groove in it from the fishing line. Reeling slow is the problem. Reel feels cheap.

Overall it just feels cheaply made. Didn’t want or need anything super fancy. Will not buy anything else from this company.

Even with some of the issues she has this is a great starter reel at a reasonable price

Really did not expect this reel to be this good at the price i paid.

At $31 with a 5% coupon i do not know what is not to like.

It was an affordable reel that i thought would be good for my wife to use.
