Pros
The rod is very sensitive and gives excellent feel for what is happening in the water. Took this rod saltwater fishing for redfish and speckled trout. A bonus is the hook keeper design on the back of the handle. Seats the reel snug and secure.
Great packaging. Well constructed. I'm not easy on rods and these were the toughest two piece rods i have ever found.
Cons
Second eyelet from tip is faulty and has exposed metal ridge where the protective nylon ring should be. Also the eyelets are not lined up with the reel mount.
A substantial amount of other users have encountered this problem. Kastking warranty is a joke. You have to pay shipping and the cost of shipping for a rod this cheap, it's just not worth it.
I’m pretty bummed, but that’s what i get for trying something new. What a shock and massive disappointment.
I have a 2 piece shakespeare microlite i bought from walmart for 20 bucks that outperformed this brand. Very brittle rod. Its like these are made out of hollow balsa wood.

Ive owned stcroix and gloomis rods and i'm more happy with the kastking.
Quality of materials and workmanship exceeded expectations for the price point.
I paired it with the kastking megatron 3000.
I am still surprised at the light weight of this rod.
Price
I've always left the great quality at a low price, casting blade baits for largemouth bass and smallmouth in the fall and spring.
I chose this one because i know their quality is good, their customer service is great, and the price was really low.
Shipping
I took a photo of the rod and shipping box and shipping tube.
The way it was packed for shipping shows that kastking has pride in there products.
Competitiveness
I have a kastking reel centron 2000 attached, this is my trout set up.
Im a tournament bass angler and use kastking exclusively.
It had the finesse and strength for midweight fish.
Great rod for an occasional fisherman, hell of a value for the price.

Not as important but it’s black with silver accents looks damn pretty with my beloved old daiwa coastal reel sitting on it
