I have some other scissors for cutting braid that work well but theyre fairly big and heavy and i was looking for something smaller and lighter to carry with me when im on foot and just have a small pack to carry everything in

The finger hole in the lower handle is big enough for me to use comfortably but i dont have huge fingers

I have a couple buddies that do and they had some trouble getting theirs in but even they were able to use the scissors and their fingers are really really big

The downside of braided line are wind knots and its very strong that you need scissors to cut them

Mono or fluorocarbon fishing lines you can probably get away with regular nail clippers scissors or even your pocket knife
