This rod has a high quality feel.
This is a high quality set up.
As a trout fisherman, i run into this all the time with drop shot setups hitting deep holes, and it is very frustrating.

I paired this with a centron 500 reel spooled with 10lb braid and a 6lb mono leader

Note the rating on the rod is for 8lb max but braid is thinner and casts smoother than mono so it is ok to go a bit over as long as you have an appropriate 8lb leader

The tip but just the tip is very sensitive and picks up the lightest bites while the backbone of the rod is stiff and strong

I see a lot of rods light action rods where the entire top section is sensitive which can make it hard to distinguish between strikes and underwater terrain
