I bought a 6 7 medium light one peice spinning rod and i use it for fishing of all kinds have caught a 18 inch striper on it and not had a problem along with a 15lb clearnose skate makes good sized fish feels like monsters and its super sensitive very happy with the purchase i paired this rod with the kastking mela 2 3000 and 40lb braided line would not reccomend the reel and will probably be switching to a daiwa bg or ex
