Pros

Good trolling rod for pike and trout. Works well for bottom rigged (high-low rigged) cut bait fishing. Great for pier fishing.

The rod is very well made. Pair it with an appropriately sized kast king megatron spinning reel and you have a very functional setup for under $100. Sensitive for the diameter of the rod.

Will test it out this weekend on the pacifica shores. Surf fishing. Anxious to give it a try. Will update review after a few surf fishing sessions.

Both the reel seat and handle are decent enough. The cork grips and they slide well in and out of my surf rod holders. The break happen closer to the handle under the ferrule.

Bought the 7' medium rod for inshore fishing paired with a 3000 rekon reel. It's not as light as a graphite rod, but this is a glass rod at 1/3 the cost. The mh and h rated heavier rods actually have a solid backbone.

Rod arrived on time and in good condition.

The rod was shipped and packed well in a long heavy cardboard tube.

Now my issue is there is no one testing these blanks before they are shipped out.

It doesn't take long to test a blank\completed rod before shipping it to the customer.

Packaging/appearance

Looks like a more expensive rod and came very well packaged - secure and damage free.

The protective packaging must have cost $15 bucks alone.
