Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons
The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

The resolute rod is a pike winch with a solid backbone though it is thin. It's lightweight but durable, and didn't give any problems during my last saltwater fishing trip. It handles snags other rods would snap under.

Great rod, like having my own catapult. My only gripe is that the rubber on the grip is now flaking off.

Couple of updates. Release date is mid august 2023.

Cons

Will not be purchasing another rod from kastking. They charge you $20. The item is faulty and out of stock and we have to pay again for another one. Their warranty is just as terrible and faulty as their rods.

The line is on bare metal, and they are not smooth. It is not as lightweight as they make it sound and is tip heavy. Used this rod on less than a handful of occasions.

Quality

Well made, easy to handle and cast very well.

This rod performed flawlessly and held up to the rigors of saltwater with no issues or noticeable corrosion.

Reels also struggle to withstand the heat and salty air, with loss of finishes, frozen drags and seized mechanics.

Unfortunately the rod tip snapped on a hookset recently :/ wicked bummer since i talked my buds into buying them; hopefully the...  Read More

Price

This is a great trout rod for the money.

Great value and superb service thus far.

About what you would expect at this price.

At this price i don't worry about newbies or guests using these and breaking them like i would a $150-250 rod.

Shipping

This product was shipped in a rock hard tube.

Packaging/appearance

Well packaged, ultralight rod to go along with the sharkey 3 1000.

This is as light as a carrot stik or ducket and the solid tube packaging it came in should be the industry standard for shipping.

Competitiveness

This is my ultralight rod that i used more than any other everyday fishing rod.

This rod felt like a step up from other cash king rods.

I first purchased another brand, a cadence vigor 2 piece heavy, and it was almost two ounces heavier than this rod and so tip h...  Read More

The guides are on the small side so if you tie a fluorocarbon leader to your braid keep the knots small with no tag ends sticking out as they will hang on the cast

Nice rod but it was a little stiffer than expected for a medium heavy

I bought the two piece 7ft medium heavy cast version
