Pros

A few small peeves, but to be expected at this price point. Pairs nicely with my perigee ii.

Five times out of a thousand or two thousand casts is not bad, just worth mentioning. Casted flawlessly with no backlashes and easy to set the drag. Magnetic brake is another feature. The spool is tunes to the weight of the *.

For the price this is the best baitcaster i have.

Great beginner’s reel. Practice is key and so is watching youtube instructional videos. For the money this reel is great.

Any other problems were solved by pulling line out to clear a back wrap. Throughs everything well. Adjusting the drag is easy and it stays where i want it.

Cons

Paddle handles are sticky and don’t turn properly because the pins they ride on bent slightly. Worked just fine the first outings but then the anti-reverse failed. Took it apart to oil it and did not help. Still rough and noisy.

Breaks and tension knob work well and they are easy to set up.

I use an ultralight spin reel and stopped having problems with backlash or casting distance.

The bait sailing and then stopping will not stop the spool on the reel from moving and momentum caused the huge birdsnest in my photos.

Smooth operation i like it better than my abu garcia.

I have higher end reels and kast king works just as good for the price.

I have been fishing a 5500c for years and have a abu garcia rocket but this reel cast longer than the rocket which i paid 250.

They cast like a dream and i have some more expensive reels to compare them to and kast king will outcast those reels very very easily.
