Pros

The reel works very smooth for me. What a great purchase.

Five times out of a thousand or two thousand casts is not bad. Casted flawlessly with no backlashes even with windy conditions. This is my first bait-caster and it’s great!

The mag is set to prevent the backlash. To my surprise, it is cranked with the right hand. Slightly edging the shimano in distance.

Cons

Reel casts inconsistent, is prone to backlash and although lubed to specs, sounds terrible. After opening the bail, spinning the handle no longer closes the bail. There seems to be no happy setting to keep the line from overspool.

The reel was claimed to be a kastking royal legend gt. Lasted me 2 months with minimal use. Save up a little more for a much nicer reel like an abu garcia pro max or shimano caenan. Would definately rather use my abu promax or even the blackmax over t... Read More

Rather disappointing. Dissatisfied in the reliability of the product. Its obvious they only want your money and refuse to stand by their products.

It's hard to beat the quality and feel of the rod &reel.

Worked wonderful with the heavier lures i used.

Right-handed spinning reels are cranked with the left hand, but right-handed baitcasters are cranked with the right.

Because it makes no sense to cast and crank with the same hand.

Packaging/appearance

Feels solid and i already have pull 4-5 fishes from the mangroves.

Great reel although i wish there were holes in the line spool to make it easier to put line on.

Competitiveness

I learned how to use a baitcaster with this one but once you learn you'll want to upgrade

This is the major downside for me when using a baitcast from the bank.

You don't really need a baitcasting rod for most fishing.

I find that larger, heavier jigs are best suited for this type of reel, when compared to a spincast or spinning reel.
