Pros
The * reese icon combines precision, performance, and durability. The combination of a carbon rotor and an aluminum body creates a sturdy and durable reel.
The reel's ball bearing system ensures a smooth and fluid retrieve. It is very smooth easy spinning action, nice sized spool for fresh water.
This kastking * reese icon spinning reel is the smoothest reel i've ever owned. Because this reel is so smooth, i run an even lower risk with it. This one is well made, very smooth and tight reeling.
Braid-ready spool for easy line setup. New patented spool lip that it has. The line unspools with no hitches and the bail closes smoothly.
The carbon fiber drag system offers reliable stopping power. The drag gets very tight and has a nice clicky feedback to it! Drag is smooth and i can cast a drop shot a looong way.
Cons
The reel had several groves cut next to the guide roll on the bail. Very disappointed in the quality of the reel. Don't waste your money on this trash.

Price
For the price this is an excellent value reel that comes with some nice features.
A high quality product for a bargain price.
It’s a little expensive for the features but it’s still a decent option for the causal fisherman.
Shipping
It’s super fast retrieve and more comfortable than my other reels.
Packaging/appearance
The reel came packaged very well in a nice box.
The first thing that stood out to me was the packaging!
The product was packaged very nicely and it tells me that they care about their product enough to package it well.
Competitiveness
Bottom line: this reel is much better than the mitchell 300 i purchased this spring and used on a fly-in fishing trip in ontario.
This reel fishes better than some of my other high end spinning reels (daiwa & shimano).
I tried other brands but i love the look and feel of kastking’s reels and rods.
Also, kastking is a good company to deal with.
