This l6 steel blade has a beautiful polish on it. The blade edge is razor sharp, no issues cutting printer paper. It's razor sharp (literally can shave with it), no defects, everything is tight etc.
The murasame l6 steel katana ($399 & free shipping on amazon when purchased) is astounding when compared to other upper echelon l6 katanas in the marketplace. The hamon and overall quality of the steel is incredible.
Cons
Would never recommend this seller ever for genuine japanese swords. If you want sharp, quality, this is not the seller for you.

Although i have no way to positively determine or measure whether the blade is truly made of l6 steel its color and gleam are different from other katanas i have that are made with t10 9260 and 1060 steels

If i could add a suggestion it would be to build this sword model with blue leather wrap on the tsuka as the example i received has the standard silk or silklike tsuka wrapping

The description on amazon for this sword states that it has leather wrap on the hilt but i guess this description was taken from another sword model
