The moss used isn't clean and there is no telling what is lurking in there. Should be listed as a planter not an animal hide. This hide is dangerous to pets.
It has enough room for my frog to fit his * in and that's it. They just hide behind it. It is not like you are getting a ball with a big chamber inside for them to hide in.

It says to soak them which i did but it ended up being 40 lbs and when it dried it killed the moss but it’s okay i wish the hide was a little deeper too

Our last hide lasted 6 months before i deemed it unrevivable

Upon receiving the hide we soaked it in a bucket of water overnight

We removed a little moss to make it wider but only what fell out we did not pull any out as it would cause the strings to come loose

The heat may doesn’t seem to dry it out much

Would not recommend use with reptiles or amphibians as both have been caught in the string
