Kef 6. Amp is a great value for the money. Great bass, great clarity, and great soundstage. Works great with yamaha 2 channel integrated as well as mono blocks. Needs a little more eq on the low end.
Kefs sound better in every category except loudness. Soundstage is on point and extremely wide. Resolution of sound is better than many headphones and there is no detail unheard.

The kefs are still rockin', and have broken in nicely. Once they're broken in the harshness goes away and they sound fantastic. With more time they'll loosen up, and warm with time.

The q350 was not released recently but the kef sound with the uni-q drivers has been praised for many years.
With a high quality recordings the speakers literally disappear.
I toyed around with the thought of getting the elac ub5s for quite a while, but they just didn't have that it factor i was looking for.
Price
For that price they're hard to beat.
Would have loved to buy it but it costs literally twice as much.
For $499 these are worth but for original price i will go for tower speaker in that price range.

I bought these and a new set of monoprice speaker stands.
I returned the $200 edifier speakers that were powered and previously purchased.
Driving them with a schiit freya s preamp, 2 carver m1.

Soundstage is per side and with a good movie seems to extend beyond the speakers
