The quality of the material is incredible, and the frame distributes the weight evenly.

Packaging/appearance

I also like that there are lots of side pockets, mesh pockets on the hip belt, and pockets built into the top of the pack.

Extra loops made it easy to tie wet shoes to the pack to dry and to secure my rain gear on the outside of the pack for quick access.

Only problems were that the side mesh pockets barely held a quart nalgene bottle and i couldn't reach the bottle while wearing the pack.

Adjusting the size is not overly difficult and once you set it you should be good if you are the only one using the pack.

Competitiveness

There are numerous tie-downs which help keep your insides from shifting which is a plus.

Many other day/overnight packs offer 2-5 sets of tie-downs and this offers 0.

It's a bit heavier than my deuter, but it did the job.
