Pros & Cons
Pros
Overall a but pricey but worth it. It is pricey, but it could make or break for a fun hiking experience. As advertised and very well constructed.
This carrier has a full hydration setup (minus the actual bladder/hose/etc. It's all ready to slip in your favorite hydration gear. There is a removable and washable pad that attaches inside right in front of the child's face which makes clean up afte... Read More
Took this to aruba. You shouldn't be disappointed. If not? And ya know what? More than once.
The pack provides ample airflow, but hot, muggy days might push the comfortability to the limit. There also seems to be a little less sway than with other packs.
The removable backpack is excellent. It's easy to set down to put the child into the carrier without having to have another set of hands to support the backpack. It has a helpful mechanism that holds the pack upright so you can place the child in. I a... Read More
Cons
The deuter is particularly gigantic--mostly because of its height. The baby harness alone is a reason not to buy it. I'm 5'2, and despite most of the amazon reviews that i read, i found it to be uncomfortable for me.
Highlights
Quality
Lots of pockets, sturdy, it is a good fit on both male/female frames, and it is light.
The quality of this carrier is well made.
I have no idea what they make those straps out of but it's certainly not built to withstand the test of time.
Nothing about it is gimmicky or flimsy.
Price
Aside from the price i'm completely satisfied.
This pack was on the pricey side but worth every penny.
Overall a but pricey but worth it.
It is pricey, but it could make or break for a fun hiking experience.
Shipping
Just as described, quick shipping and great product.
Amazon prime shipping was awesome as usual.
Packaging/appearance
Plus the pack is so darn light that the only real weight you feel is your child.
Baby was protected and went on numerous hikes.
Hence my main motivation for the pack.
Just hangs out in the pack chilling while the grownups have our picnic lunch.
Competitiveness
After looking at the big three kid carriers on the market (deuter, osprey, and kelty) i liked the harness system on this one the best.
I tried cheaper carriers, but nothing compares.
Compared to the osprey pack that is comparable, the kelty fails.
Pressure points ) although it is more expensive than some similar carriers i do not regret this decision.
