Pros

Amazon sells a similar lock that can be used with almost every laptop. It's 6 feet long, so you can stretch it pretty far. Despite seemingly negative intro, it seems a decent product.

The steel cable is solid and enclosed in a braided metal sheeth. The cable comes with a clip attached to it that keeps the cable coiled neatly.

Keyed lock is convenient as i keep one key on my regular key chain. The lock is very solid and 2 keys are provided for you. The keyhole seems more difficult to pick but one reviewer said someone was able to unlock it.

Rubber gasket prevents the lock from rubing, scraping, bending, etc. The only thing i don't like about it is that everthing spins.

The only objection i have is that it is maybe 10$ too expensive. This lock is a deterrent, not a guarantee against theft. There aren't any prevalent flaws in this security device.

Cons

It works a little more fluidly, but i'm not too pleased about damaging a $2,000 laptop with a device meant to protect it. It has a number of design flaws which are surprising coming from the company who introduced the kensington lock. The manual cover... Read More

Competitiveness

Not a lot of competition for high quality notebook locks, so i feel like i was paying more than i wanted to due to lack of options.

This prevents the lock from rubing, scraping, bending, etc.
