Pros & Cons
Pros
Kensington expertbt5 can use bluetooth or it's own wireless, with the included usb mini-dongle. Since you don't have to move the mouse around, only the trackball, having the unit wired is not an issue at all.
Kensington is a great replacement for a trackpad. It is highly customizable. The four programmable * make it great to customize.
Ergonomically, this trackball enables you to mouse around with your hand completely neutral, the ball under your fingers, moving your arm instead of your wrist. Its position allows for fine control with multiple fingers (don't bother with thumb trackb... Read More
Cons

Quality of the device itself is great too.
Working with multiple screens or lots of constant cursor movement is more enjoyable with the trackball.
Wish it sat flat instead of inclined, and the buttons are a bit louder than i want but otherwise a great product.
Shipping
I know some people take a bit to get used to it but after the first week i was just as fast as using old mouse.
Packaging/appearance
The kensington expert was immediately useable straight out of the box.
Competitiveness
This particular purchase--the unit stops responding to mouse pointer movement.
There's not a lot of competition for good trackballs.
I have previously owned a small wired thumb trackball mouse that was mostly forgettable; nothing wrong with it, but more gimmic... Read More
