Pros & Cons
Pros
This is a simple keyed lock that is simple to set up. There are two keys supplied with the cable and each key opens both locks. The locks are very flexible, in the sense that they have two different rotation points.
Kensington n17 double lock for laptop is a toughened steel cable, with two keyed locks at one end of the cable. This means that the cable should fit in virtually any location (assuming you have a compatible locking slot on your laptop) the cable is no... Read More
It has the standard stub used for most laptops from most of the main manufacturers. You need to make sure your dell laptop has a correct socket for the end to fit in.
The lock is a little fiddly, but you quickly get the hang of it. It is fairly sturdy and easy to use and crucially it isn't too labourious to unlock. Very strong, sturdy, safe and secure.
Cons
The locks are 2 completely different designs and only one works in a standard kensington recess. This is poorly cobbled together rubbish.
Highlights
Quality
The cable made from good quality materials, long enough, strong and flexible.
It is high quality kensington lock for dell laptops.
First of all i would really check that you have a need for this product.
The cable is not so flexible, but that comes with the territory of carbon steel cables.
Price
My only reservation is the price of this cable.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging for this is a strong slim cardboard box that protects the item perfectly.
The packaging may as well be non-existent but they certainly offer peace of mind.
Competitiveness
They work fine with a bunch of the 2-in-1 dell inspirons.
