Pros & Cons
Pros
The kensington trackball is a big improvement over the logitech one i had. The ergonomics are alright, not as good as the logitech but it is doable and you get used to it. This mouse is ergonomic, has a side circle scroll wheel, which makes it comfy. ... Read More
Using this trackball mouse saves my wrist and thumb from hurting and numbness. The rubberized wrist support is also an awesome addon. This mouse is a top choice for ergonomic hand positioning.
Software isn't intrusive or awkward. Never had an issue with it. The scroll ring is easier than using <page down>.
Cons
The jittery cursor is extremely frustrating. It skips if you try to flick the trackball, instead of the promised acceleration. Duds exist and i figured i may have received a dud. I prefer the older model, even though it does not have the scrolling whe... Read More
The mouse itself is clearly made for those wtih abnormally large and wide hands. The device appears to be too large for my hands, forcing me to constantly flex my wrist upward to move the trackball. The trackball sits too high so your wrist sits at an... Read More
Highlights
Quality
This is a quality device with smooth ball and ring action.
Quality all around, and would buy again without hesitation.
Been using this particular model for years, the other finally gave up the ghost after being knocked off the desk one too many times.
Everything else on it worked however, without the left mouse button, it becomes useless.
Price
Great price for this great piece of kit.
It was surprisingly responsive and just to be able to play those arcade classics once again with such a cheap device was worth the cost.
Overall, though, i figure it's a small price to pay once a year for a mouse that makes me as productive as possible.
Quality replacements are inexpensive, and unfortunately this is a common problem.
Shipping
Now if we good just quit with the tyvec shipping envelopes!
On time and is exactly what i wanted
Competitiveness
I believe kingston makes some of the best and affordable track ball mice on the market.
Other brands use cheap switches that degrade and cause "bounce" (unintentional double-clicking) which quickly becomes very annoying.
They're left-right-scroll only, which i know is a deal-breaker for some.
After shopping around i found this one to be the most similar to what i had ergonomically.
