Pros & Cons
Pros
Kensington trackball is a big improvement over the logitech one. Design fits my hand's ergonomic needs perfectly. Comes with a clip on body extension for your wrist if you need it.
Scroll ring moves smoothly and with little resistance. Great quality, works wonderfully, well priced, trusted maker. It's exceptional where space is limited.
The * are high quality, but they are a bit short for my hand. I need to use the mouse with an angle towards the keyboard to press the left button more easily with my thumb. Center click is achieved by pressing left and right at once.
The only thing you sacrifice is that most mice have a scroll wheel that you can actually click on. I looked into kensington mice in the first place was because my dad informed my they have been making trackballs since the 80s.
Cons
It skips if you try to flick the trackball, instead of the promised acceleration. Slow incremental movements do not move the cursor at all. The jittery cursor is extremely frustrating.
They use screws that don't fit even any of my special screwdrivers, so i can't just open it to fix things.
The device appears to be too large for my hands. I have a small hand and i find it cumbersome. The height and angle of the unit are quite high, requiring you to tilt your hand upwards from the wrist.
There's no mention of the upcoming incompatibility on the kensington site. This annoys me since they sell a refurbished version for less. Duds exist and i figured i may have received a dud.

Quality
Quality all around, and would buy again without hesitation.

Been using this particular model for years, the other finally gave up the ghost after being knocked off the desk one too many times.
Price
It works well for the price i paid.
Good for the price - without paying close to a hundred dollars for the really ergonomic ones.
Shipping
I didn't realize this one i received had been returned when ordering, but saw the sticker on delivery.
Competitiveness
I got this to replace a previous version of what looks like the same thing from the same brand.
While that may sound basic, i had to return another brand where the trackball resisted moving up and down.
