Pros

Orbit scroll ring feels smoother than on the expert. Use it 3 or 4 days a week, which by the way massively reduces strain/rsi.

Cons

While asleep, both the trackball and the scroll ring are not unresponsive.

This software version is compatible with ventura and earlier versions of mac os, but not sonoma. It's now january, 2024 and these hardware and software issues have not been fixed.

It has a great scroll wheel, but now it won't even make a good doorstop. This thing feels like it was the first try by kensington to make a trackball but failed miserably.

Without that ball bearing, the mouse movement would skip drag like sneakers on a basketball court.

I own multiple trackballs from kensington, elcomm, and logitech.

I got this to replace a previous version of what looks like the same thing from the same brand.

While that may sound basic, i had to return another brand where the trackball resisted moving up and down.
