Pros & Cons
Pros
If you have carpel tunnel, nerve damage, or any other physical issue, you need to give this mouse a try. The 3 dpi settings work very well. Took me a while to figure out how to change the dpi. I plan to get a rechargeable battery and adapter just for ... Read More
Utility software allows for button re-configuration. Alt+tab and ctrl+tab can be used to change apps. Use the top shortcut * for macro functions.
Pro fit connects to a dual-booted workstation. It can be set up using the wireless receiver in a usb port or using bluetooth. It has a wireless usb connector with its own storage, as well as 2 bluetooth channels.
Kensington works is more clear and gives better control than logitech options. You have to make sure you solidly click it past that false click to the actual click. If you keep after the cleanliness, get used to the funky left-click switch.
The kensington vertical trackball is very comfortable and fits the natural position of my hand and arm. The angle is just right, with no need for an attachment like the mx ergo's.
Cons
The trackball is not ergonomic. The scroll wheel is erratic. Amp; had to be returned.
The wireless signal is really *. And wireless means i have to worry about charging batteries. The bluetooth hardware in this trackball has a built in energy saver that has no software control to disable it.
Highlights
Quality
Was easy to setup, works great, love it.
I love the hardware, the ergonomics, the aesthetic.
I started with a logitech ergo, but unfortunately the rubber basically disintegrated after about a year.
It’s heavy and intrusive closed source software.
Price
I swear by logitech but also wanted to see what else was out there as i didn't feel like paying over $100 given the use case.
For the price it should have a smooth moving ball, not one that feels like it's grinding like sand paper.
I did enjoy this one for over a year though, it was really nice, i just don't like the price for something that has a faulty scroll wheel.
Competitiveness
All in all, this is an excellent product you should choose if you can get it for 2/3 - due to supporting only 2 bluetooth devic... Read More
I then switched to a perixx, which was reliable but extremely imprecise on the tracking.
Also, the format of the ball itself is standard, and interchangeable with logitech’s trackballs.
The build quality is a notch below that off logitech's mx master series, but mx master mice also cost over 2x as much.

I replaced the switches in my last m570 and solved that problem but there was no fix for the 400 dpi resolution which is what sent me on the hunt for a better mouse

But if the switches start acting up like the m570 does ill replace them with heavy duty ones like i did on the m570
