The fix is either to cover those lights with electrical tape or remove the power cable everytime you want the lights off

The intention was to future proof as much as is practical but as with all technology obsolescence usually overtakes utility and the next connection is devised and the previous benchmarks left in the trailing dust

This kensington device is very much on the forefront today with the premium price going with it but i suspect others will follow and the price for the same technology will plummet

This also has the advantage of a wired network connection which is more suited with better quality for video meetings

I have only has one issue with this dock both external screens froze while the laptop screen continued with no problem
