Pros

The sd4780p can deliver more charge to the laptop while it's in use. It has two hdmi adapters that i didn't know i needed. This dock is reliable for multiple monitors on my macbook. It enables me to connect my m2 macbook air to 2 37 4k monitors.

Worked flawlessly. Everything works and it connects quickly. Works perfectly and as advertised!

Cons

This dock is not a thunderbolt dock. The cord they give you is very short. It's ugly, but not nearly as frustrating as this dock.

The nic/ethernet, my wireless keyboard/mouse with usb a all work fine, just no video as claimed. There is input lag in the video which makes it unusable for gaming and extremely frustrating for office use. I have switched to using a small microsoft tr... Read More

This is a really solid dock overall and powers two qhd monitors over hdmi at 60hz no issue with my macbook air m1.

It can charge laptops that are powered by type c connections while transferring all that video and usb data which i find really impressive

From surface book 2 15" system to dell laptops, all charging on the single usb-c connections.

I could never get 2 hdmi displays working at once and the ethernet also overheated the device (in the middle of a call with my boss).

Price

Bought a used one to save money on amazon.

It came in bubble wrap, along with a well used power supply and an aftermarket usb-c cable.

It supports mojave, catalina, and even big sur as of today.

This docking station was purchased as an alternative to an hp thunderbolt dock that had 4 outputs that could only use 3 at a time.

I recently purchased the apple macbook pro with the m1 chip, and the sd5200t does not work with that chip.
