The area behind the scroll wheel where the kensington name and led indicator light is found is made of the same soft rubber finish found on the back and the finger rests

I have fairly large hands and use the mouse with either my palm resting on the back for gaming or by clawing the mouse with my fingers when doing work or editing

Im not entirely sure what dpicpi or brand of sensor kensington uses but its precision is above par for a nongaming wireless mouse

Its worth mentioning that the mouse offers no wireless radio dongle functionality its purely connected via bluetooth
