Highlights
Quality
I'm really pressed with the sound quality the built-in 13 band eq is the greatest among all of the other features.
Overall, much better quality than the non-excelon version for not much more money.
Seems like a solid deck so far, the sound quality is great.
The audio quality on this stereo is amazing, you can tell immediately.
Price
It may not be competition-worthy but for the price you'd be hard-pressed to find better.
Packaging/appearance
The only thing it's missing - the thing that would make it perfect - is hd radio, and that's included in the next-model-up x702.
Competitiveness
22 watts rms per channel is a better deal than even some of the more expensive brands.
Its a kenwood excelon, they've always been the one of the best single dins you can buy, and this is no exception!

Dont get hung up on the lighting being too hard to see during the day it really isnt that bad considering it really has to be bright outside to not be able to see the digital set up on the face plate

Overall i like all the features specs of this unitpretty good value at this price pointi do wish the unit had been shipped in a second cartoon as it does look like it had a rough time during shipping it also is a deterrent against theft if you cant see what is actually in the package

I have historically not been a big fan of kenwood head units although they tend to work well and be durable i frequently find they are poorly thought out
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
One note in case you care iheartradio has apparently dropped support for their remotecontrolled app so if youre buying this head unit for iheartradio integration it wont work
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I was actually looking forward to that integration but since it doesnt exist anymore at all ie not a kenwood issue i can hardly be upset that it doesnt work

My phone connects automatically and plays music
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I can sync my contacts and make phone calls directly from the head unit
