The first one the motor starts smoking just after 6 months kenwood sent me an other one the second one the motor starts smoking just over a year and kenwood would not replace it and it is expensive to repair
I would say to kenwood a good design usually has an overheating safety cuts off where the motor which is the most expensive part should have been protected not leaving it to die
