Good sound quality for a factory head unit, can't say how they perform with an amp.
The quality of the speakers fit and finish, etc is very good for the money and to me they sound good.

Competitiveness
I bought 2 sets of these to replace my bmw x5 stock speakers.
They are much louder (on a channel that outputs 80w rms and 250w peak) and more clear than the factory speakers.
I love them, installed on a 2012 lancer es.
The kenwood performance series speakers only cost a fair price of $64.

Besides that the mounting ring is barely big enough to completely air seal the perforation in the door sheet metal

To add insult to injury if you use the included 14 screws to mount the speaker to the plastic ring it is quite easy to overtorque them causing them to lose all holding power

Thats because the screws are quite thin and the threading not very strong

Granted i should have used the template that is included on the box but that doesnt change the fact that the ring is barely large enough and the mounting screws are the wrong size

Also had to drill new holes in door panel for the woofers and align to fit woofer into actual door cutouts

I figured they were blown when the tweeters began crackling when listening to music and talk radio which made it quite impossible to listen to

Only drawback and the reason for 4 stars and i had no idea about this there is no speaker connector with them
