Pros & Cons
Pros
The only downside is the huge glass bowl which compared to the metal one is huge. It is important to periodically use the plastic spatula to scrape the sides when mixing in order to get uniform mixing and avoid clumps of unmixed clump of butter in a c... Read More
It mixes effortlessly and in a shorter time than my previous machines. The dough hook makes elastic dough that is easy to roll. Can support a fairly large amount of dough to knead.
Cons
The only thing i prefer about the kmix to kitchenaid is that it’s got a splash guard. Not particularly sturdy. The glass bowl is so brittle it just crumbled.
A complete rip-off. Spent an hour getting through to kenwood customer support on their chat service. After supplying model no etc. The dial no longer works at all.
It's a horrible thing to heft about. I was assured there has been a design change. Clearly, a very bad design fault. It's extremely sad that they are happy to continue to sell what is clearly a flawed design.
The glass bowl always comes loose, no matter how tightly you lock it in. After a few uses, the bowl unscrews from the ring more easily. Kenwood need to revise this locking method for the glass bowl and either make the locking ring out of something mor... Read More

I love this mixer, great quality and di easy to usemy only negative would be that the bowl is really heavy
Everything works great and the included tools are perfect for the various jobs.
This makes the glass bowl spin freely whilst the plastic part is stuck in the machine (in the part called the bowl bayonet socket).

I decided on replacing it with a kenwood as i have also got a kenwood food processor and am highly satisfied with their products.
Having looked very closely at the cheaper alternative, i found that they were all made in the same factory.
Kenwood is a name that can be relied on to produce first class goods, and this mixer is no exception.
