Pros & Cons
Pros
We realised our mistake and bought another. Apart from that all is good. Loving it. It suits my needs spot on.
The splash guard is very useful. Although expensive, it is a time saver in that it will mix (etc) whilst you continue with other tasks nearby.
Much stronger construction and blissfully quiet. Knocks the magimix it replaces into a cocked hat.
The motor is more powerful and quieter than my old faithful. Never shows signs of slowing. Well worth splashing out on as kenwood motors last and last &.
Stand mixer makes cakes, buns, bread. Can make two medium size loaves at a time easily. Can also make a loaf of bread. Great stand mixer.
Cons
It seems to me that gloss paint has just been sprayed directly onto the metal without primer. Lack of surface finish durability is a common feature of kenwood products. Scraping noise is intermittent and happens about 8 times per 30 seconds.
Highlights
Quality
Great quality mixer which makes easy work of bread and cakes
Excellent product just heavy enough to stay put when doing bread dough yet light enough to move.
My first kenwood stand mixer was bought over fifty years ago, and the motor finally gave out after 30 years continual use.
The quality has not changed one bit.
Price
Great mixer for the price, does what it says
Good price, good delivery and does the job nice and quietly
I’m so glad there was the option to pay for it with 5 monthly instalments (i couldn’t have afforded it all in one go).
You definitely get what you pay for.
Competitiveness
Well worth splashing out on as kenwood motors last and last & this one seems now different.
I looked at other makes too but finally went back to kenwood and went for this.

It looks fantastic easy to clean and for the first time we keep it on the worktop as it’s a joy to see with its gleaming white body and stainless steel bowl
