It is compact enough to sit on the worktop in my relatively small kitchen. It has easily tackled everything i've thrown at it far better than the kitchenaid.
This is in my top ten favourite purchases of all time. This is fabulous as everyone else said.

I also separately purchased a silicone edge beater to scrape the bowl as it mixed but this has seen very little use as the ordinary kbeater mixes everything in well and unlike other mixers ive used does not require scraping after mixing to incorporate everything into the mixture

It also has a slow start function which very effectively avoids flour etc

The surface easily wipes clean an unlike the prospero there are very few nooks and crannies to catch stray flour or icing sugar

Again this sees very little use as the mixer itself is so well designed that overspill very rarely happens

I didnt actually realise due to my own lack of attention that this was the mary berry edition of the mixer which even if i had wouldnt have attracted me or put me off

But the branding is very subtle with only an unobtrusive engraving on the stainles steel bowl and on the speed control knob
